Our Experience, Your Alternative
In 1994, the TPS equipment treated PCB contaminated soil located at a gas compression station located in Alberta. During the course of this project, the TPS technology underwent testing by the Demonstration of Site Remediation Technology (DESRT) Program, a Canadian Federal Program similar to the USEPA S.I.T.E. Program.

A Community Consultation program was developed, upon which subsequent consultations have been based. This program successfully faced the dual challenges of introducing a new and innovative technology and proposing to use it to remediate a PCB contaminated site. Following consultation, the technology was easily accepted and the project proceeded.

Analysis of the untreated soil indicated PCB concentrations from 50 mg/kg to 10,000 mg/kg with and average concentration of 352 mg/kg. A strict QA/QC Plan was followed and all post treatment soil was thoroughly and independently analyzed with regular audits conducted by Environment Canada and the client.

Emissions from the TPS unit were also sampled during the project and were found to be within the criteria established by Environment Canada. All aspects of the emissions sampling was audited by officials from Environment Canada and the client.
