Our Facility - One of Only Three Facilities
You can have confidence in our ability to efficiently receive, safely store and effectively remove your environmental liability.
Located in Wolseley, Saskatchewan approximately 100 km east of Regina, our facility is positioned adjacent to the Trans Canada Highway and within close proximity of both CN and CP rail lines and intermodal terminals. This central location offers numerous cost-effective options for transport that can be individually developed to suit the nature of your shipment and its location.
Our facility includes these special features:
• |
An integrated Operations and Storage Building constructed on 15 metres of compacted native clay, covered with an impermeable heat welded 60mil HDPE liner, upon which has been placed 460mm of compacted fill and 150mm of steel reinforced concrete. |
• |
A 150mm x 150mm concrete berm surrounds the entire building. All impacted materials are stored inside and below grade for safe unloading and containment. |
• |
The site design ensures that all surface water is directed safely away from the facility. The sloping of the site toward a central Surface Water Detention Pond, which is lined with a 60mil HDPE, ensures that any surface water inside the two-metre security fence will be contained for analysis. |
• |
The Operations and Storage Building is kept under negative pressure to ensure the best environmental controls. The environment inside the building is closely monitored and controlled, while the air is constantly removed and filtered though the air treatment system. All personnel working with impacted material are required to wear proper personal protective equipment at all times. The Facility has with a capability to treat up to 60,000 metric tonnes per year with approved storage for 33,000 metric tonnes. |
