Converting liability to opportunity

“Using this technology, members of the Managements team have successfully completed a number of high profile projects in 10 countries on 5 continents over the last 14 years treating hundreds of thousands of tonnes of material and recovering millions of litres of usable oil. ”

Impacted soil, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, consumer products, industrial sludge, all have two things in common: they need to be safely managed and disposed of; and they all have recoverable oil that can be effectively recycled. Liability as an opportunity. That is how Phase Separation Solutions is elevating thinking in waste management.

Phase Separation Solutions Inc. (PS2), a 100% owned subsidiary of publicly traded West Mountain Capital Corp. (TSXV-WMT) is a North American leader in the provision of environmental liability elimination and resource recovery using a proprietary, Canadian developed non-incineration thermal treatment system.

PS2 was created by a group of proven Canadian environmental entrepreneurs with one singular philosophy - “Waste as a resource. Liability as an opportunity. Environmental stewardship as a priority.” Combining their extensive national and international experience, over the last 20 years, as experts in the fields of hazardous waste management, remedial technology development, environmental engineering, pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution, and oilfield environmental protection they created a new benchmark in Canadian waste management.

At the core of PS2 is an internationally proven, Canadian developed indirect thermal extraction technology called TPS. This unique closed loop system was originally designed to extract Persistent Organic Pollutants such as polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), dioxins and furans and even the infamous Agent Orange from soil, a project at which the technology excelled during preparatory work at the 2000 Olympic Games site in Sydney, Australia. Modifications and advancements in the application of this technology have resulted is a proprietary application called the Pyrolytic Desorption Depolymerization PDD Process. In addition to its original capabilities the system is now regularly accessed by clients across Canada to safely and efficiently achieve the same accepted levels of thermal destruction provided by traditional incineration systems for hazardous materials such as pharmaceutical waste, while significantly reducing the landfill burden from non-hazardous materials and providing for the recovery of oil from both. PS2 is able to provide this unique service for comparable prices while producing no harmful air emissions.

The PS2 Wolseley Facility, unique in North America, is constructed to highest standards of environmental protection allowing it to safely manage some of the most infamous, persistent compounds ever manufactured. The facility operates under a strict set of procedures and protocols with respect to waste approval, inventory tracking, storage security, health and safety and environmental protection all closely monitored. Confidence in the technology and the Team allowed the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment to approve the PS2 Wolseley Facility for one of the broadest scopes of material in Canada. Our Approval includes permission to receive and treat a complete range of materials impacted with chlorinated and non-chlorinated hydrocarbons such as PCBs, dioxins/furans and pesticides. Waste paint and other industrial sludge, with hydrocarbon contents up to 70% by volume, both hazardous and non-hazardous pharmaceutical waste and consumer product waste.

Proven technology. Experienced management and personnel. Safe, secure and approved operations. This is Phase Separation Solutions.
